Twenty-eight brave ‘old time sailors’ wandered into Clock House port (paddock) for an afternoon of nautical tunes. The rain held off for most of the afternoon, apart from half an hour which allowed an interesting song and dance rendition of John Kanaka. Everyone said what a fantastic day it had been, which ended with our Summer Shindig, terrific pizzas made by Dan the Pizza man and delicious salads and desserts made by volunteers. Many thanks to MD Geoffrey for putting together such an enjoyable programme, as well as teaching us some really useful basic rules about sight reading.
Thanks to everyone for taking part and enjoying yourselves. And a very big thank you to Ann Davis for all her hard work behind the scenes and on the day, together with the team that turned up to pitch the tents on the day before and the 5 special people - Ann, Linda & Nigel, John and Dave, who turned up at 9am on Sunday to get the small marque down before the heavens opened!!!!
Please add your own rating and comment on the day - we would love to hear what you thought???
